Introducing smarter project summaries

Teams generate more information than ever before. Project updates, discussions, decisions, and status changes happen continuously throughout the day, making it increasingly difficult to stay aligned without spending significant time reviewing activity manually.
Today, we're introducing smarter project summaries designed to make that process easier.
A faster way to understand project activity
Instead of reviewing every update individually, teams can now quickly understand what changed, what requires attention, and what should happen next through structured summaries generated directly from project activity.
The goal is simple: reduce the amount of time spent processing information and increase the time spent acting on it.
Built for everyday workflows
Project summaries are designed to fit naturally into existing workflows.
Teams can use them to:
review project progress
identify blockers
track important decisions
prepare for planning sessions
Rather than creating another destination for information, summaries help surface context where teams already work.
What’s included
The new summary experience focuses on clarity and consistency.
Product focus | Purpose |
|---|---|
Summary section | Highlights important project changes |
Active blockers | Surfaces issues requiring attention |
Recent decisions | Tracks important project decisions |
This structure makes updates easier to scan while maintaining enough detail to support decision-making.
Designed for growing teams
As organizations scale, maintaining visibility becomes increasingly difficult.
Project summaries help reduce the need for repeated status requests and make important information easier to share across teams. Everyone gains access to the same high-level understanding without needing to manually gather context from multiple sources.
Consistency over complexity
One of the goals behind this release was creating a format that remains useful regardless of project size.
Rather than introducing additional reporting workflows, summaries are designed to provide a predictable structure teams can rely on every day.
The best updates are the ones people can understand in seconds.
That principle guided much of the design process behind this feature.
Available now
Smarter project summaries are available starting today.
This release is part of our broader effort to help teams spend less time managing information and more time moving work forward. As always, we’ll continue refining the experience based on feedback and real-world usage.
